Arrange hanging scrolls in a modern style
現代風に仕立直し「掛軸」
「床の間ないし、掛軸かけるとこない」
まあ、普通の意見なのかも。私自身、掛軸なんてモノに全く興味も無かったし、以前の私なら同じ事を口ずさんでる。
でも…表具に関わってから「へぇ〜、面白い！」と感じる事が多くある。そして、この「巻いて収納する」という形がとても便利。額はかさばるし。
昔の掛軸は床の間で映えるように作られていたけれど、昨今の部屋は洋室とラフな和室。
ここに「厳格な形の掛軸」をかけようとするから床の間が必要になるし、無理があるのではないだろうか？
… 最近そんなことを考えてる。
「部屋の壁にちょっと飾る」とか「お客様をお迎えする、玄関先に飾って季節ごとに変化を持たせる」とか…
本紙（作品）周りの掛軸部分は、いわば額縁。この部分が変化すると絵の見え方が変わる。
で、気に入った絵の「古い掛軸」を現代風に仕立て直しをしてみようと思って。これは表具師の仕事でしょう！
昔作られた掛軸は仕立て直しができるのです。素晴らしいことです〜！（昨今の安価な表具は仕立直しできません〜 (T.T) ）
さて、現代のお部屋に合う掛軸になるかしら。それと、いつ仕上がるのかもわかりません〜！

Well, maybe that's just a normal opinion. I myself had no interest in hanging scrolls, and I would have said the same thing in the past.
But... since I have been involved with HYOUGU, I often find myself saying, "Wow, that's interesting! I often feel "Wow! And this "roll it up and store it" form is very convenient. Frames are bulky.
In the past, hanging scrolls were made to look good in the tokonoma (alcove), but today's rooms are Western-style and rough Japanese-style.
Isn't it impossible to try to hang a "strictly shaped hanging scroll" here?
… I've been thinking about that lately.
It can be a small decoration on the wall of a room, or a seasonal decoration for welcoming guests at the entrance....
The hanging scroll part around the main paper (work) is, so to speak, a frame. When this part changes, the way the picture is seen changes.
I decided to re-tailor an "old hanging scroll" of a favorite painting in a modern style.This would be the work of a HYOGU-YA!
